Together Till Eternity

I hold her by my side,
not wishing to let go
her death is slow.
The smile on her face,
still deep in my mind
As though, taking me into another life
where, everything was fine and easy go.
There were the woods we trekked,
and the hills we climbed.
There were the laughs,
and the occasional cry.
The sweet smell of rose,
when she arrived.
Now as she's dying,
nothing remains alive.
As,she was the life within me,
the guardian of my soul.
She has her eyes fixed upon me,
I am unable to blink
fearing;i will lose her in that time.
The smile still etched on her face,
she looks like a painting
and i am still waiting
for a miracle to happen.
But,Alas! There's a change in her expression,
she has turned pale.
I take her face into my hands
and as i breathe,
I wish i could accompany
her as an eternal wreath...

Confessions of a Novice

I am not a poet who wishes to write
The words are not mine,
That scribbles into a rhyme.
The ink is not real,
Words shown through the dark.

I am not a poet who wishes to write,
One day as I sat; an idea struck my mind.
I twisted it into a piece,
Which was then denied-
Causing me a fury; which rage into a fire.

I am not a poet who wishes to write
As a memento for my desire,
I am gifted with a pen, paper and ply
But soon they lay rested,
As I fell totally dejected.

I am not a poet who wishes to write
But, Ah! an image is again formed,
And the pulp is again stormed
The words become processed
And I ask;"Am I possessed?"

Staggering Towards An End

Saving the sins in a briefcase of thoughts
I move ahead to find my where about
Causing the green down my paw
To move like a forest in the claw
Of fire, of hatred, of deeds forbidden
To the human soul          ………..

Saving the sins in a briefcase of thoughts
The people I saw in the past
Move into the shadow of present
Just to vanish as the future beholds
Calling me to enter its trial
For a place in the funeral pyre…………

Saving the sins in a briefcase of thoughts
It’s the vessel, which is sinking
The sail, which is cracking up
Because of a captain who wishes
To kill the albatross
In search of endless miseries to come
And punishment fortified………

Saving the sins in a briefcase of thoughts
It’s the life, which has to be saved
At all costs
But the darkness revolves around the sinner
For the crimes endless…

Saving the sins in a briefcase of thoughts
Opening them all, I stand in front of the lord
So let there be mercy, Oh! My good god
But this time the noose is tight
And the only way out is anything
But bright…

Mimicry of Life

Man is like a puppet
His hands like a string,
His expressions
Like the strokes of paint
Fixed and emotionless
But easily captured by
The eyes of people....
You see the man he created
in the eyes of a new born
Whose expressions have not been
Fixed yet
Who laughs freely....openly
But Alas! How long?
Will this innocence remain the same?
How will this help him to survive in this
cruel and selfish world?
Ultimately, his expressions will
turn into a
Mimicry Of Life....

Tears Roll by

Walking down the street,
With my lonely feet.
They move here and there,
As they have no place to reach.
A sweat escapes my face,
And I watch it roll by,
It’s like a ball in the open Isle.
The clouds have shifted close by,
And the rain starts to fill the drain.
I see the beggar cleaning the street thoroughly,
As he has no legs, which could hold him high.
Seeing the men not willing to get wet,
The beggar has a heartfelt laugh,
Which too is wet, with the times gone by.
His heart shown through his eyes,
Which have rained just a little way behind.
A penny dropped into the beggar’s hat,
Shines in the morning sky.
I feel pity and drop a coin,
From the pocket of my suit.
Some drops from my drenched coat,
Fall into the little fellow’s eye.
I think that he is again crying,
Not willing to live in a world,
Which can't afford to give him,
A single night, with his eyes dry...

A voyage into my subconscious

I see it
but cant touch
coz its my dream
and its out of my clutch..

Oh!there i see myself
Fairer than what i am actually
Ah!Let me have a closer look
Emotionless;thats what my expression
Or rather the lack of it suggest..

Am i talking to sumone? Or am i just mad?
I see a figure infront of me
blurred is what
I make out of the face..

The conversation is on a mute i suppose
coz hardly anything reaches my ears.
God!its such a happening place to be
but for the lousy actors enacting important characters..

Cant i speak louder?
Where is the voice that frightens a dozen people away?

Wait..now i see the face
Its none other than Aunt Krace
Shouting on me for a candy i stole
but i don't want to wait till her age
when i cant even stroll

She is haunting me in my dreams
where i should be drooling over an ice cream!
I wish i never visited this play
the lousy actors enacting ever so pathetic characters

I really want to hit the playwright
He has got nothing right!!
tormenting my dreams
where i would be better off eating sum ice creams!!

A New Beginning

Everyday feels so new
Every wish yearns to be true.
There's a light that is seen
Not far,but from within.

Songs of the morning
heard so clear.
winds that are turning
so that we hear.

Its the moment
and everyone knows its real.
But how far?
Is the question that's clear

Will it last forever
or is it gone.
Its this fear
thats still not lost.

There are bounderies
to be broken.
There are lives
that are to be saved.

Above all there is a hope
that we will survie
There is a hope
that we will survive..

Boy! He Was Beaten

That day the tides had risen,
And the goons fled the local prison.
Only to find a guy in need of a way
"Excuse me, is the Salmond Street nearby?"

They started running,
so the guy chased them like mad.
And when they stopped for a breath,
they hit him frigidly bad.
Boy! He was beaten

Now, with an eye swollen,
And a bleeding nose.
He felt it necessary,
for asking the reason, why?
As a return for his Query,
They made him cry.
Boy! He was beaten

He came back to himself in an hour or so,
and found in front, a prison door.
He asked them again, why?
They said," We had risen,
so as to land into prison".
"And this is our lovely little treat,
for showing us the way back to Salmond Street!"
BLOW!!! BLOW!!!
Boy! He was beaten.

My Sleeping Angel

Sleep my darling angel
Is there a wish you want me to grant
Because you have been so nice that I cant,
deny you a gift which you have been asking so long
The expression in your eyes
when you first saw it in disguise
sitting there behind the glass
waiting for you and me to pass
To have a look upon it
that's what it wanted
and how it taunted the desire in you..
You pressed my hands as i wanted you to walk
and how you sat there on the street
dirtying up your pretty frock
Is that what you wish as a present?
As I cant see your face so unpleasant.
So sleep my darling angel
As there is a gift lying by your bedside
I am waiting for you to have a look
Is this the same thing you wanted
By hook or by crook?

Where I Belong

The new smile i wore
tore away misconceptions about me.
What people thought was the truth,
became the denial,i most wanted.
The deliverance that this brought t me,
was something unaccomplished in the past
My soul is now open; Not for sale!
but to be viewed.
As,the notion about it was sore to taste,
and what a waste it was
fro the beholder to look upon.
Grim faced i greeted people,
gaudy they responded.
Shell in which i lay,was turning pale.
As i breathed fire in winter
and cooled down in summers and spring-turn.
Blown away are those days,
when my mind was all in haze
Gone are the ways,
By which i searched myself in the maze.
The past has been put aside
As a killer in the dark alley.
Waiting for justice it will never receive.
As,crimes have been done to my mind
Far above the,i can bare
and here i give a farewell kiss,
to the memories which i can now
afford to miss...

Second To None

When I climbed
there was inscribed
the name of the climber
who was a step ahead of me..
In the dizzying heights
with my body paining with frost bytes
I tried to remain sane
inspite of the feat that I had attained
I was the climber who had scaled it second
not the first by which the people would have reckoned
my efforts to be the same as his
and the adulation that I will miss
for the bad timing that I had
as a result I was clad
naked in front of what he had achieved
same as mine;but I stand bereaved.
As newspaper flashes his name
even a month after he had shot to fame
And I don't know why
I am not talked about
even after being so devout
I don't know what sin have I committed
that cant be remitted
so that I can restore my pride
which till date has been denied...

The Day I Didn't sleep

As the day progresses into night,
and the sky glows in a brilliant white.
I remember them,as they speak to me,
through the air I breathe
and the sound coming from the trees.
The fragrance of the lilly,
the shape of the moon
the pebbles on the ground
and myself,head held above
as i marvel the mystic
of what meets my eye.
The sight of a twig falling on the grass,
and the plight of the cloud
which holds back its tears
till i take in,what enthralls me.
The wild mushrooms warning me not to pluck them,
and the woods seducing me to sleep under their shade.
The semi clad snail waking up at my sight,
and the owl, getting ready for a quick bite.
The flowers which slept under my sight,
and the rose which fell saying good night.
Mesmerized by all this,
I take up my pen and start to write.
The first word stops in its path,
as i see a branch fall from its shaft.
As though telling me,
that its to early for it to be cut again.
The day its elder bore the blunt,
was a day before;as i could still hear their grunt
And the page i wrote in,
made it remember its past
which would last, engraved deep within its base,
as its first experience with the human race...

Rosabelle

There is a road that leads nowhere
far away from the daily affair
Its that place i want to go
although,there is no earth below

Its like the clouds which rain
but the drops don't flow down in vain
And i wish to stand above it
commit myself for the retrieval
till the floods wash all that's evil

That will be the home for me
and its future,i will foresee
Because,i dont want a shelter for my skin
but for the soul that is deep within

Where laughter be the only friend
and this rule, i will amend
As there needs to be beauty in your heart
before to hell or heaven you depart

Its a dream that urges to be true
a desire with which i grew
I believe that its possible
and the world will turn into a rosabelle...

Your royal highness

Is there a chair left in the room
booked for me,
I want to presume the dust
that has taken my place
wipe it off
before I take it as a disgrace

You don't want me to become mad
as being besotted;
I turn bad
I am a prince,
hope you know?
take a bow, ever so slow

I don't like fast reactions
or abstractions;
better go with the flow

If you have a question to ask
so as to unmask;
what I don't hide
prepare to be chide
as you question a royal
So I order you Mr.Disloyal
make the room cooler for your future ruler

Its going to be a hot day for you
prepare for me your best brew

Wait!

My soldiers are coming to take you away
as there is waiting for you,
a grand buffet!
I will be honored to serve you myself
to the tiger waiting in its cage!

So, do you want to enrage me
or assuage that is, if you guarantee
the best you have to offer
I really like that coffer!

Bring it to the castle by dawn
why is your face so drawn?
Don't tell me you know nothing about the palace?
Oh! you are forcing me to become so callous

Walk ten miles to the west
and my knights will be standing there
draped in the royal crest
They will lead you to my motte
don't be afraid and run back or you will be shot
reach there in the given time slot
that will be all
crawl under your sheet
and don't dare to cheat

The twilight sparking through the woods
and you, blessed soul, are standing with the goods
thinking just the faintest that you has been fooled
By a cracked person as me, who wanted just a tea

The child that he was

The child that he was
There sat alone
wanting so hard to let go
of the chains that bound him

He had no friends
who could teach him the latest trends
A shabby cloth he wore each day
nothing effusive that would betray
the body that was decrepit.
The bones that asthough
would pierce out any second.
The clay toys he played
nothing glimery;poverty he could never evade
Dreams were afraid to come to him
at night;when he fought to sleep
being a destitute made him weep.
The cherished day for him
the jaggery water filled to the brim

The child that he was
There sat alone
wanting so hard to let go
of the chains that bound him

To life...

A gathering

All the country men gathered around
for the theater group that was so renounced.
The places they visited earlier
the public who were just astound.
The news that had spread so fast
cast a spell that would be never be surpassed.
Fever that had gripped the people
of the tell tale stories from those who had witnessed
the play that was so talked about
and left them with no doubt
that there was a treat they were going to be offered

An agora cleared for the connoisseur
the stage so majestic
all looking with awe.

So began the troop to perform
taking the audience into a storm
Every dialogue titillating
and the crowd enthralled.
For a play that was meant to be
every penny they spent as a fee...

Wisdom,Speak Again

Teach me how to fly
without wings;I want to defy
the rules of gravity
pushing away acts of depravity.
I want my body to be light
A ticket to the end of the world;an azygous flight.
Eyes watering in the draconian heights.
Teach me how to remain sane
the avaricious crowd;the constrain around.
Money speaks a different lingo
to the people who are bonded to it by fate
but the gate remains closed
for those;ill fate imposed.
Teach me how to remain still
the constant drill;the suffocation deep within.
Remove the fuss;remove the pain
all that needs to be left;be just humane...

The Fear Of A Falling Shell

The shattered glass shines in the morning sky
strewed across the road.
Again,a noise is heard,
the neighboring alley has been concurred.
Sound of the shell that has been freshly dropped
fills the air;the smell and the shrapnel.
A moment of uncertainty passes by,
the breathing is fast
heart's pounding
Preparing for another one to fall.

The stall which was used for directions
been on four wheels for ages.
The kababs;smell of which waked up people from their sleep
The owner who had stood there
selling his stuff,cooked to perfection
but so cheap.

The only sign left of the stall
Is the one indicating its name
same wooden block lying by the lane.

The toy shop which was visited so often
The offers that couldnt be resisted.
The children who would enter with big eyes
Their expression worth a million dollar prize.

The doll has only its face left.
The other parts that flew away,
with the child that held it.
The laughter asthough;just moments ago
still fills the room
like a beautiful perfume.

The old age home
Centurion's siting on their easy chairs.
some little younger, going on with the daily affairs
Others newly inducted, hope that all of it is just a bad dream
and their son will come to take them after the military regime

The chair swings in solitude
cushion puffs up again;occupant who has been detached.
The son will return
grave has to be filled;name to be carved on stone.

All those who have fallen to the ground
some dead, others trapped under the collapsed compound.

What was their fault?
Why the benign always faces the assault?

Confide,But Please Dont Hide

Confide in me
but don't stab from the back
It pains a lot;this cowardly attack.
Put the fence, where your house ends
defend not your acts;when even you cant keep a track.
The senseless activity;your hands are all black.
Why have you turned to be such a bane?
The people who cared for you;now wish they never knew,
the devil that resides,
your dealings;he decides.
The turmoil at peace and your spirit is on lease.
Regain your sanity;cease this opportunity.
Confront what is invisible but can be felt
snatch the place where you had dwelt.
Sit back now and probably plough the field in the bastille
Or think of how to find a way out
neither to be caught;nor leaving your astral to rot...

The publicity Of A Celebrity

Dont i have the right,
to live a private life?
I know i am a celebrity
and am forced to live like one.
Because the moment I open my door
I am not protected anymore.
I hear,some people
always want to be on the lime light.
What they dont know is that
there is a prize to be paid
at the end of the day.
The paparazzo is asthough
mauling me in my sleep.
Wherever my eyes go
so follows the creep.
Freedom of press;they possess.
Freedom to live a normal life;why are we deprived?
Is it so important for the fans to know,
even that which we dont want to show?
I am a normal person when the light is switched off
the same water I drink and the air I breath.
But when someone fixes the fuse
A commotion ensues.
My face,they recognise.
Its their glance from which I cant hide.
Can someone lend their identity to me and take mine in return?
I want to live a private life and that's what I yearn...

And She Lives On

The music plays on
and she dances into your hearts
as the ballet starts.
Resplendent;a mirror
showing the inner beauty
and the outer side.
And she lives on...

The music still aches the heart
the day everything feel apart
The melody that still plays with chorus
marking the event which was so dolorous.
The flowers that are in place
Each day;so that they embrace
The soul that is immortal.
And she lives on...

The companion

She climbes ever so slowly
watching all of my moves
crawling on all fours
hiding behind the doors.
Making sounds whenever am not near
but as soon as I appear, nothing can I hear.
Sometimes when I see her
as she devours her prey
Conscious of my presence
she soon runs away.

Like a child does
after commiting a mischief.

I dont have a pet
yet,I feel she is the one.
She's my constant companion
whenever am alone.
The eyes dont move
hypnosis she approves
speaking to me with closed lips
the moment my eyes drip.
She can regenerate what has been lost
But what to do of my heart?
with emotions, it is tossed..

Confessions Of A Born Entertainer

I hear the claps,as the light falls on me
there I see the people who are laughing at me
My job is to entertain them
even,if that means inflicting pain upon myself.

They have been pulled
they have been cursed upon
their lives have been ruined
their money has been lost.
They come to see me
as i am a source of solace.
The journey they have been through
the wounds that haven't healed
I am the touch that they need.
The eyes that look upon me
as-though,pleading to make them a little lighter.

I will hit myself with a bat
I will kick the dwarf in his back
I will laugh upon myself
anything that will make you feel a little better.

Jokes that no one would crack upon themselves
Broken bones, which I earned by falling
from heights without safety nets.
All that I have failed to do
All that I will gain from what I do
Its a wish that I will be remembered.

The times that I laughed with makeup
forcing me to extend my lips up
alert;so that it does not shakeup.
As there is pain underneath my overwhelmed face
As I have loss-ed track with my life's pace
Its mine;but,I have never lived it
Playing roles everywhere
The face I see in the mirror
Unknown;as it comes nearer.
Giving time to myself
It never crossed my mind.

The crowd loves my style
arrogance has made me a vitrified tile
shining from all angles
but what they don't see is
that,which secretly dangles.
The heart which has been always used for target practice
the mind which lost count of the injustice it had suffered
the mask that i wear each day
the stains I wash away from my dress
So easily removed
I wish it could be done to my emotions
that has been suppressed.

I have nothing against anyone
Only a place in their hearts
that has to be won...

The Lost Art

The clay and soil that I mix
My palms on which the mud always sticks
An earthen pot that buds
The wheel and my fingers
Working in harmony...

My eyes have become weak now
Heat from the oven has left marks
Like a remark all over my body

My grandson all of ten
Tries to sell it to people
They know he is an easy catch
And try filling his mind
With the prospect of an chocolate instead of cash
But, my boy is an intelligent lad
He knows the difference
Between something brown and sweet from bread

One day he returned with the stock intact
There wasn’t a single piece that was sold
Without the company of food in our stomach
We slept that day and for days to come

He told me about the people
Who had tried to bargain with our life
We don’t cheat our customers
Is what they don’t know
For that facility they have to be in the cities
Where profit and not product matters

They have been fooled there
But the village isn’t corrupt
We eat to live and not live to eat
Is what escapes their mind

They want to adorn the crafted clay in their living room
But, even want to boast to their neighbors
About how they stole our food

Today, I have sent my lad
To sell all the goods in the city
The money that will come
A meal per day we will have
Rest is what he will study from
A school is what he will go to

He doesn’t deserve to bear the loss
Of an art that has been practiced for generations

I have sold the wheel
The mud from my hands
I have washed off
So what, If a potter has retired from the clan
I didn’t know that being poor
Was the main agenda of the plan...

Leading Up To An Embrace

The tap of the legs,
the closing in of the shoulders,
brushing against each other,
like destined to unite.

The smell of the perfume,
lingering,when the face comes near.
Lost;as it turns to acknowledge the audience.
Magic being cast upon them,
not an illegal act to be condemned.

I shouldn't lose the count,
checking my sobriety;she is.
Trying,if not intentionally,
to mislead my judgement.

Because,I am a victim of her beauty.
Lone prisoner of her love.
Its not that people haven't suffered under her denial
Lucky,I am,to be a part of her,
As for now through the dance.

The music gathers pace,
add up to the finale is an embrace.
The moment;as an image is still

The approval comes as an uproar.
Soon the applause vanishes.
The only thing that remains still,
Is the image of an embrace...

The Couch Potato

As I woke up with nothing but free time to work with
Laziness was what i first emphasized on...
It is such a vast topic of research, you see!
laying around just doing nothing,
Ah!what a frame to fit into..

But,as always its not an blessing that I have received
and its not at all durable
Oh! I wish it could be so...

As though waking me from my death,
the cell starts to ring.
I know its something that will make make me
jump from the bed, switch off the television
get dressed up,all because its a call of duty...

Its something that comes after an interval
but,i tell you! when it strikes, there's not a hiding place left on earth
The call of duty is not what you guessed it to be.
For the easy go lucky people like me
the dictionary meaning is, something which makes us move around!
In circles,in quadangels or any angle or shape you can think of
Its just  like some unpalatable food for us!

So,the story begins with me getting the deadly call
there are a dozen things I have to do in two hours!
What do I do?
I have an important decision to make here people!
Its two hours of television after the month of exams I have had
or two hours of unending work.
The earlier option doesn't need any thinking, doest it?
Oh!well I am so getting a headache now;an imaginative one nonetheless.

the cell rings again,

"hey mom,I think am down with a fever"
it always does work

laying around  on my couch
to watch my favorite program

who said we don't have work to do?

where's my remote anyway???

The Ordinary Man

I lay here on this very ground.
The wounds that pained,
the blood that flowed.
I had dragged myself to see if my friend was still alive.
I am the victim of a bomb blast,
I am the ordinary man

I wake up by four.
The jasmine buds have to be collected
the paper,I need to circulate
the tea that I have to sell.
All before the clock strikes 10,
As,I have an exam to attend.
I am the family under the poverty line,
I am the ordinary man

I am the boy 10 years old.
I see the children playing across the street
as, I clean the dishes.
Their jokes makes me smile
and,the other thing that takes it away
Is the board in front of the hotel I work in
which says "child laborers not used"
My age they have fabricated.
My innocence, they will soon.
I am the boy who has been mechanically matured,
I am the ordinary man

Sold for a month's food
or,married off before I understand the meaning of it.
I am the girl who is unwilling to get born.
Afraid, that hands are waiting to trade me off
Afraid, that I wont understand the meaning of love.
Its better for me to be born still
than,to be raised to be a commodity.
I am the women behind the existence of man,
I am the ordinary women

I am the women with the child in hand.
It cries desperately in need of food
I am the beggar you see on the road
I am the women who you push away
Its not for me but for the baby I beg for.
I am the women who works to survive,
I am the ordinary women

In everyone of us without our knowledge,
there lies an ordinary man or a women.
Its just that luck has been our way.
So, stop for a second and look at a person asking for hand.
The twinkle that will be in the eyes
when, you put your hands into the pocket
the satisfaction on the face that speaks a million words.
It will melt your mind as it did mine,
You are an ordinary person and, so am I...

The Call Of Revenge

Fury knew no bound.
The sound of the beugal,
as it,raised to cover the sun
filled the air as a call of revenge.
A thump of approval from the cavalry
made the ground below to crack.

As his men made way for him.
As his men bowed down to honour his arrival.
As his men became quiet.
As the hearts began to pound in unison.
He emerged from the horizon.

The enemy saw the czar
and felt a fear like never before.
His eyes were fixed upon them
as that of an eagle.

His sword was burning
with the hot flush of blood running in his nerves.
His chest blew into a mountain
nothing so strong as to make it fall.
His face,a picture of determination.

And he stood ready to give his men
a chance to ravage the intruders apart.
His sword rose above all
a sign that the battle would begin.
The sky was painted red
with the traitor's lineage.

The pheonix stood with blood on his face
his feet strongly holding down the last foe.
And,with the blazing cry of a hero
he strikes him out..

Heart on hold

Give me time before i hold your hand
or i will die, if that is your command.
You are the one for me,i know.
You make my heart flow like a river
but,you also are the reason why i shiver.
I am in a confused state as of now
the question being thrown on me-"are you the person with whom i want to take my vow?"

To Kill or Not To

Yes I am blind.
Yes,I have been loyal.
Blind enough to behead anyone who raises his voice.
Its not by choice i do it
Duty that has been thrust upon me
Not proud of my accomplishment,I am
neither are there ears that would hear my protest.
I am a silent assassin,my lips cant move
and my eyes have been trained not to look for proof.
Those in front of me are to be killed
I am an exotic species
only used for battles.
The dungeons we are put into,
no light that could penetrate into it.
The only time I have seen the sun is during war
The pain in facing its glow is so brutal.
Put me through hell or cut me with a sword
but it will all be futile.
I dont want to be a part of this mindless killing.
I have a heart and it still boils blood
my mind may have become cold
but,my conscience hasn't yet been sold.

In Search Of Wassum

If not praise me
dont pain me
I am clay that has to be moulded
I am a flower that has to be raised
I am child that has to be taken care of
I am a wing that needs to flap
Don't treat me like crap.
I am a poem that needs its rhyme
I am a pen which needs a page
Give me some rain that will make me blossom
Give me some love;I need to feel that wassum.
If not praise me
don't pain me..

Don't Be Gone When I Wake Tommorow

Walk with me to the shore
where no painting i need as a decor.
Are you for real,my friend?
Or,is my mind so fragile as to bend.
Are you an illusion? Are you a spirit?
Are you my loneliness or are you an unknown guest?
I cant remember seeing you before
Nor in the night when I have those frightful dreams
or when the sun through my window, beams.
Oh,now its clear as the clouds have gone
I see your face;Its mine but,just redrawn
I thought you were the friend that i always needed
But,you are the mirror I look into
answers that i need;I don't know what am going through..

As The Mist Made It Clear

I tried to quit it once and for all.
"What's a fag going to do to me?"was the question in my brain.
My lungs were weak,my body was too.
I thought about it
What do i get from taking that burning puff?
Maybe satisfaction,maybe a rush.
Seeing that ball of fire nearing my lips
and coming to a halt
Like a racing car reaching its finish line.
The burning rubber leaving a track of black on the tar
the burning lips black from the encounters from the past.
"what's a fag going to do to me?"was the question in my brain.
I couldn't run,i couldn't climb the stairs
I couldn't speak till i had my steroid spray.
Still I didn't quit.
Something was motivating me to hold on to that roll of smoke.
Maybe, the wish to get that final high
Maybe,I wanted to hear the sound of my emotions
as it comes out in a sigh and it goes within no time.
Sometimes I want to live.
But,there's nothing left through which I can breathe.
Its like the tar in which the car raced
Its brittle now,about to break.
The car will not reach the finish line.
"Look, what a fag has done to me?"
Is what,I ask you and, will ask through written words alone.
As I lay dead.
I had forgotten that, there were better ways to die
and,even better reasons to live.

What Hides Beneath

Oh god! This hurts a lot
engulfing me from all sides’
flames that are trying to melt my core.
People smell me out from a distance
they say; I am an animal out of control.
Am I Lord?
I know I have sinned.
Please do a favor upon me
and take me away.
They are going to kill me anyhow
time will make it a painful death.
Take my breath away
A beast; full of vengeance and hatred
weigh me in a balance against the crimes I have done
I regret being what I am
take me away...take me away for good...

Resolving,not to resolve!

I don’t like looking back
Am not afraid and nor have I sinned
It’s my way of moving forward
Its not that I haven’t faced defeat
Yes, I have lost
Yes, I have been hurt
Yes, I have won
Yes, I have lost again
And yes, I am human!
For we make mistakes
So that we can regret about it till we die!
What If we get paid for sulking?
Recession would have been, history!
The only thing that I look for in my past library
Is to find out the book of experience
Rest all can be charred.
I don’t like making resolutions
As, they are meant to be broken
I like taking decisions, yes! That I do
Don’t mix the two; dont resolve to do that!
For, a vision is all that we need
From shackles we need to be freed.

A Rainbow Dream

Looking into the sun
As the fire within, burned
Millions whose dreams were on his shoulders
And, the other million who were trying to shatter them

Decades passed as silence spoke
Misery was what they bore
Humiliation to the core

But, he arose from the ashes
To lead them to salvation
Voice that he gave them
A mind to think
A determination to get what they deserved
A way to live
A dream that came true-freedom.

Colors being judged
On paintings alone...

A funny thing called Love!

Oh! Stop making those sad faces!
I know you did it on purpose.
I won’t be impressed by your cute expressions
Sorry, slip of tongue! They are not cute!

Don't try to make an eye contact!
No, it won’t help!
Don't play with your hair!
You know what I like you doing, don’t you?
Using my love as a weapon, are you?
Why is there a sad emoticon on my coffee today?
Why is it so sweet?
Am not going to melt by all this!

Oh! Please don’t cry!
I know you didn’t do it on purpose.
Come here my love
You are my sweet little dove.

A day passes by without a fight
And the next, dinner with candle light

And the next day...

Oh! Stop making those sad faces!
I know you did it on purpose.
I won’t be impressed by your cute expressions
Sorry, slip of tongue! They are not cute!

Life,The Eternal Poem

Oh life! You are a poem.
More beauty in my words that may define you.
More grit I need, so as to hold your hand.
More love is what you should give me.
No anger in my heart, that, you may see.

Give me innocence
Hatred, I don’t want to spell.
Give me hope
That will make me remain with you.

The day I forget you,
Curtains should fall.
The wind should blow through my face.
Let it take away what remains of you.

You can’t be my companion now.
It’s a long tunnel
The place is so cold.
It’s a solo journey
The path, unknown.

But, don’t worry my friend
It’s a place everyone has to go.
Only that this time,
It’s my journey,
and, In my hands
rests my soul.

There is a child within me

There is a child within me
Who asks me questions, when I want to cry.
Engulfed in the momenterious fury; I shun the thoughts away.
What if he wanted to help?
I could have tried him.
When grim again, hope he visits.
Hope he plays with my sorrows
and loses  it in the dark.
Hope he comes when I am alone
His identity is a big question mark.
People think I am insane
But, you tell me, in this world,
Who has both oars in water?
It has spilled for all
and it will be so forever
It’s not the vessel but the
Voyager who has snapped.
His wings have broken
under constant encumbrance.
His voyage, incomplete.
His first defeat.

There is a child within me
He helps me remain sane...

The Drenched Soul Within

Walking in the rain,
I don’t feel it flowing through my face.
It’s like the back waters,
the sea mixing with the river.
The sweet taste as though, taken away by a tide.
As I stand alone with my broken umbrella,
no one beside me to give me shade.
I am the tree which never bloomed.
A fruit that appeared last spring,
the only sign of hope, now lies rotten.
I don’t need to hide my tears on the streets
As, no one will see my face
amused, they would be, to see a fully drenched soul.
This walk, a mere reconciliation
A walk, to slow thing down
A walk, to bring me back to ground.
I tried to fly without wings
I tried to love
I failed doing so
It hurts a lot, when you come to know that it was just a dream
It was, but a false belief
It was meant to be jaded...

A passion for life

The daylight not visible
barred from me by the people ahead.
The warmth I cant feel
The monotony that the picture suggests
is the one, am running from.
But, trapped again in its net, are we, the people.
No one to follow me
No one to break the line
Its impossible to get back, is the fear, that holds them.
To retain position without a fight
A constant Endeavour, a search for life
To break free of shackles
so as to get entangled in them again.
A risk that I have to take
to travel through the road, less traveled.
To unravel a mystery
a mystery called life.
I don’t know where it would take me
But,no fear I have of being laughed upon
Nor, do I have the hope for an awakening.
Let them sleep with unfulfilled dreams in their eyes
Not me, as I have to live the dream.
Let them hope for something nice to happen
Not me, as I am prepared to crash.
Let them stay in the never-ending line
Not me, as I have broken free...

Acceptance

Acceptance is a big word.
If it was a person,I would have been his worst enemy.
Inate ability to repel people,
is a curse I was born with.
Unbreakable by any spell I have tried.
I am not a hero, not even in my dreams.
Vibes so harsh, it shook me up quite a few times.
Their eyes so viciously upon me,red with anger,
and I, stand between them all, looking for a friendly soul.
One, who can guide me to my home.
One, who has no problem with how I look.
One, who can look beyond my shortcomings.
One, who can point out my mistakes.
But, not poke at them, till I bleed.
Bleed with resentment,
Because, I should not have cared about what people thought.
Bleed with love, that was lost, to make others happy.
Bleed with anguish, for thinking so low of myself.
Bleed with pain, for every mistake of others.
Because everything I do, I do to make people like me.
But, everything I do, makes them hate me even more.
So, better come infront of me, my friendly soul
Because, I am out of my wits and frankly, without any goals.

The swinging chair

The chair swings in solitude.
Only the light from the gap in the curtain,
cancelling out the darkness for a second.

Breaking the silence,
a cold sweep of air whistles its way through the door.
I know she is siting there, there in the easy chair.
She whispers sometimes into my ears,
and that moment makes everything still.

The curtains no more allow the light to pass through.
The door closes,
and, as the darkness sweeps in
I feel her touching my hand.
I take it back, scared to my core,
and, all of a sudden the door is wide open.

The air pulls the curtain away.
I dont feel her presence anymore.
Maybe she is gone.
Hurt by my action
and as I look around,
the chair, swings in solitude...

Behind Enemy Lines

Dragging my body behind enemy lines,
I wait for the vultures with guns to fill my body with lead.

Slowly approaching me from behind,
the scavengers kick me to see if I am alive.
I hold my breath and, as I do so,
I slowly put my hand into my pocket,
and, switch on the radio.

Yes! They have finally taken my request.
My song is playing as I get ready to die.
The lead starts penetrating my body
and I smile,As I go to sleep forever,
listening to my favorite song.

My death wish granted; so long...

Graveyard Shift

The soil is moist with the rain last night
Its easier to dig
dig deep enough to fit in the soul

clouds so black, it will rain
filling up the grave

All dressed in black
They wait to see him one last time
tears flow out
no white cloth big enough

And they sing to the heaven above
watching them all I stand
stand till they slowly depart

tonight, two more to dig
two more residents
Rest In Peace

Sandcastles

The moon whispers a secret lingo
as it commands the tides to rise
the glimmery sand falls apart
as the castles fail to stand

A lost turtle wanders through the shore

washed over but, still finds its way out
As the sun makes an appearance
only to disappear as the clouds take him in

Big rocks covered in moss

small patches missing
a sign of the battle it has been in for ages
A battle to win over the sea

The moon whispers a secret lingo

as it commands the tides to fall
The sand not brittle now
and the castles will stand
